Details

Victron Centaur is a high power battery charger, with uncompromising quality. The covers are made of aluminum coated with epoxy powder, with anti-drip protections and stainless steel fixings making these products very resistant to adverse environments: heat, humidity and salty air .
The electronic circuits are protected from corrosion with an acrylic coating. Temperature sensors ensure that all components operate optimally, if necessary by automatically reducing the output current in extreme environmental conditions.

All models are fully functional without any adjustment from 90 to 265 V, both at 50 and 60 Hz.

Three isolated outputs that can charge 3 battery banks simultaneously.
Each output can provide the maximum rated charging power.

3-stage charging, with temperature compensation
The Centaur charges at full power until the output current has been reduced to 70% of the rated current, after which a 4-hour timer starts. Once this time is over, the battery charger switches to the maintenance phase.
An internal temperature sensor is used to compensate the charging current with –2mV/°C per cell. A series of microswitches is used to select the optimal charging/maintenance current for acid, gel or AGM type batteries.
