The AGM battery is an accumulator that does not contain liquid acid, but has an absorbent microfiber glass felt inside. This material traps battery acid like a sponge, allowing you to more efficiently use the limited space and volume of the battery; this translates, therefore, into a higher starting capacity.

AGM technology allows to immobilize the acid while making it available for the plates and making the reactions between the acid and the plate material take place quickly; since the plates of an AGM battery are very compact, the resistance to vibrations is better than standard batteries.

Furthermore, the self-discharge of AGM batteries is very low (less than 3% per month), but above all, being built in such a way that it cannot be opened, the AGM battery is leak-proof and maintenance-free. Therefore, if properly charged, this type of battery does not require particular attention and / or precautions during its life (no addition of distilled or demineralized water).
